What is mobile banking?
Mobile Banking allows you to view your accounts, view transactions and transfer funds from a cell or mobile device. You can access mobile banking by visiting neafcu.org on your cell phone’s internet browser and you will be redirected to our mobile site. If this is the first time you have accessed mobile banking, please note you will need to signup for the service through Online Teller on a personal computer.
Do you have an app for iPhone?
At this time, we are working on an app for IPHONE, however, we feel that the platform we are offering will work well with a wide-variety of phones and is a better fit at this time for our members' needs. Please check back for future updates on the app availability.
How do I view details of transactions in mobile banking?
Simply click on the account on which you wish to view the transaction history. Click on the transaction and detail will be provided.
What is mobile text banking?
Mobile text banking allows you to view your balances and transaction history – you simply text a special number and you will receive a text back seconds later with the information you need.
How much does mobile banking and mobile text cost?
Your credit union does not charge for these services. You may incur data (internet) or text message charges from your wireless carrier, so please contact your phone carrier for details.
How do I enroll in mobile banking and mobile text banking?
Click on the “mobile banking” tab in your online banking. You will setup your mobile phone for service by completing the information on the screen.
You can also enroll your phone for mobile text by clicking on the “text mobile settings” menu in online banking
I picked my mobile carrier from the list but I received an error when I enrolled in online banking. What do I need to do to gain mobile access?
If this occurs, it’s best to contact your mobile phone service provider and seek clarification. Due to mergers between cell phone companies, it’s often difficult to identify the correct mobile carrier.
Is mobile banking/mobile text secure?
We feel confident in the security of these new services and that the information is secure while in transit to your phone. We do recommend, however, that you make every effort to protect your phone, pick passwords that are highly secure and do not store information about pins and passwords on other phone applications or in your personal belongings.
Can I pay my bills through this service?
For added security, we do not offer bill pay through our mobile site. Please continue to access bill pay on your computer.
What should I do if my cell phone is lost or stolen?
Immediately contact your mobile carrier to inform them you have a lost/stolen device so they can shut down access to the phone.
Can more than one phone be activated in mobile banking?
For increased security, we only allow one phone number to have access to your account through mobile banking.
Will my balances show current balance or available balance?
Please remember that any balances shown through mobile banking reflect your current balance and do not reflect available balance. This is due to holds that can occur on various transactions.
What if I change mobile phones or mobile phone companies?
You would need to un-enroll and re-enroll using your online banking account and use the steps above to activate the service on your new mobile device.
